Hi Everyone! I recently had the pleasure of receiving Althea’s newest Petal Velvet Powder in the mail. Needless to say, Althea has been my favourite place to shop in 2017 and possibly more years to come.

It’s exciting to see how Althea has expanded and foraying into producing their own unique line of cosmetics. Debuting from the brand, the Althea Petal Velvet Powder is a micro fine loose powder that minimises the appearance of pores and fine lines, and at the same time controls sebum.

REVIEW: Make Up For Ever MUFE Step 1 Skin Equalizer

Howdy friends! It’s been a while since I last posted, and I found a little down time today to write about a face primer I recently started using.

Today’s review will be on the Make Up For Ever Step 1 Skin Equalizer, otherwise known as MUFE’s mattifying primer. I bought this from Sephora during their 20% storewide sale a while back. I don’t usually shop at Sephora, but I love ambling into the stores and checking out what’s new and wonderful.

There’s a whole range of the skin equalizer primers, 10 actually. I specifically chose the mattifying one because I have oily skin. Plus, I wanted to see if the product lives up to MUFE’s reputation. This is a 15ml half size, the full sized product weighs in at 30ml.

REVIEW: Althea Korea Trouble Breaker Box!

Disclaimer: This is a sponsored review by Althea. All comments on the experience and first impressions of the product(s) are expressly mine, and not in any way influenced or paid for.Althea Korea Trouble Breaker Box

Hello everyone! Today’s spotlight item is the recent Althea #18 box – the Trouble Breaker box

I was approached by the good people of Althea to review this box of carefully curated items which tackle the issue of blemishes. There are a total of 6 products in this set, and all are full retail sized. Call it providence, but the timing of this review couldn’t have come better. My complexion was not at it’s best due to a recent span of late nights; and these items were lifesavers.

Personally I feel these boxes are packed full of value – my recent favourite was the green and yellow box.

REVIEW: Koelf Petitfee Ruby Bulgarian Rose Hydro Gel Eye Patch

petitfee ruby bulgarian rose hyydrogel eye mask 1

Happy Friday! Today’s review is on the Koelf Petitfee Ruby Bulgarian Rose Hydrogel Eye Patch, which I find handy for tired eyes.

I purchased this off Althea a couple of weeks back out of curiosity, and also partly because I’m going through a “rose- based” product phase now. It all started with the rose variant of the megurism steam eye mask I bought.

Needless to say, this is my current go-to item for lazy days.

REVIEW: Alexis Ren x Colourpop Blotted Lip (All 3 shades!)

Colourpop x alexis ren blotted lip

I bought myself a bunch of items when Alexis Ren collabed with Colourpop, and I was so excited for the parcel to arrive. The collection had the first ever Topaz highlighting kit, a new line of blotted lipsticks in 3 wearable shades, and two liquid lipsticks. Much anticipation indeed.

Fast forward 3 weeks later (I used international shipping) – my parcel came.

Upon opening the box, I was greeted with brown dust. Every item was caked in the Topaz palette which had exploded (Thanks USPS, you never fail to screw up my parcels, like how you lost my whole Too Faced order and was totally unhelpful when contacted). Thankfully only the brown side shattered, so I had the glorious task of wiping down the whole haul, and stoically re-pressing my bronzer cake. 😦

To make things worse, CP messed up my order. I was sent 2 tubes of Little Weapon when I ordered one of that and one of the nude shade (which I was more excited about). Contacting CP about this was totally not worth the hassle since sending the stuff back and all the email back and forth.. ugh. Don’t even want to think about it.

So anyway, today’s review is on the new blotted lipsticks in 3 shades: Deja Vu, Lexi, Exotic

TL;DR

CP messed up my Alexis Ren order, USPS wrecked my Topaz palette, I’m reviewing the blotted lip colours.

REVIEW: Innisfree Super Volcanic Pore Clay Mask

innisfree-super-volcanic-pore-clay-mask-1

Hey everyone, how’s it going? I had an order arrive from Althea last week, and today’s review is on the Super Volcanic Pore Clay Mask.

I love clay masks, primarily because they mostly help control sebum secretion and my skin appears to be more radiant/whitened after usage. (I don’t know if this is a placebo effect though.) Apparently this version of the mask is different from the Jeju Volcanic Clay Mask, so if you have tried both please share with me your experience in the comments section. 🙂

Lastly, I will be sharing my referral code for Althea. Yay to free credits, Althea has steadily become my favourite K-beauty spot.

Standard new member sign ups will receive SGD$20 in welcome credits. If you sign up using the referral on my sidebar –> you get SGD$5 extra, making it a total of SGD$25! Don’t miss out. 🙂

To make things sweeter, Althea is having a 15% off Innisfree event now, each order will come with a deluxe green tea balancing sample kit (while stocks last). You can thank me later.

REVIEW: Vichy Laboratories SkinSOS Volcanic Mask Trio

vichy SOS volcanic mask trio

HAPPY CNY everyone! I wasn’t planning on reviewing anything since I’ve been down with a nasty flu/cough bug for the past week, but on a last ditch effort to buy some Decofam (cough syrup) at Unity, I came across these. Sick or not, I was compelled to try them.

Reason(s) being:

  1. Its a trio set from Vichy (and granted, Vichy items are not the cheapest around)
  2. I needed a pick-me-up from constantly stuffing my nose with facial tissues, not to mention the incessant hacking cough 😦

Hit “continue reading” to see what I thought of these mini masks. Also, I took a shot at upping my product photo game, let me know if you have any suggestions for improvement! 🙂
